Ankara University Queer Research Society KuirAnka organized an Intersex Workshop with Inter Solidarity to inform its members about intersex rights.

On May 9th, KuirAnka members, Inter Solidarity founder Belgin Günay and external participants came together in Ankara to discuss how intersex rights can be brought to the agenda more widely. The event started with a presentation by Belgin Günay, which included a basic definition of intersex, violations of the rights of intersex people, especially intersex children, the legislation in Turkey on the subject and the history of the intersex struggle.

The event continued with questions and answers and members of KuirAnka, who are students in many different departments, pointed out that intersex is not sufficiently covered in the curriculum. QueerAnka promised to work to support intersex students who do not have the courage to come out at universities.
